K7 dans la 4L is tour de force mobile broadcasting arts club in the form of a Renault 4 live streamed on Twitch with a curated series of one-on-one artist’s talks, readings and interviews directly from the Renault 4. It’s a forum for discourse and debate around contemporary culture, a chat room that can be utilised to discuss art, landscape and tradition associatively and in a shared stream of consciousness. 

K7 dans la 4L starts every episode with a commissioned jingle by musician Paddy Critchley with the band Croí Óg covering On The One Road by The Wolfe Tones. The song is a shout out to all workers at Renault Factory plant in Wexford Town who used to whistle this song as they were assembling CKD* Renault 4s.

Over the 45 day trip, K7 dans la 4L hosts recitals inside the Renault 4 and plays a variety of cassettes as well as music sourced from the collection of Irish Traditional Folk Music Archive. Driving from place to place, with live broadcasts of conversation, atmospheric sound, interviews and music experiments, K7 dans la 4L creates a soundscape as the Renault 4 moves through the landscape. With genre meandering mix tapes and a growing collection of releases from underground labels, this is a broadcasting experiment, an ever growing cabinet of sonic curiosities. 

K7 dans la 4L is hosted by Liliane Puthod and Ingrid Lyons.
