The last day of tour de force,

At the wheel of Liliane’s late father’s Renault 4, tour de force is a celebration of culture and creativity in the format of a mapped adventure engaging with artists, musicians, mechanics, farmers, archaeologists, craftspeople, academics and aficionados over a series of pit stops all around Ireland…a summer 2025 ‘buddy movie’.

We’d been on the road for forty-six days and were making our way back from Rathlin along the Antrim coast road onto the A1, N1 and M1 into Dublin for one final event as part of the tour, arriving back with objects, images, stories, talismans, touchstones from an evolving, circuitous, meandering, labyrinthine trip around Ireland. 

Donal Dineen’s iconic Backstory club night brings together people from all over, through music and dancing. In a city thats in constant flux, he creates a transient third space for encounter and movement, rhythmic consciousness, buzzing atmosphere and cathartic flow.

Our journey would finish out on the Backstory dance floor with responsive sets from Donal Dineen and Chicago-born, Dublin-based DJ, poet Governess as an immersive otherworldly art installation // dance party at The Depot; a repurposed refrigeration facility in the heart of the historic fruit market district of Dublin. 

Chilling the objects, creating a suspended reality, preserving the Renault 4 indefinitely.
